Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026 · Effective: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ross Product Management LLC (d/b/a Snipzs) (“Snipzs,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Snipzs barbershop scheduling platform, websites, and mobile apps (the “Service”).
1. Who this policy covers
Snipzs serves several types of users, and the data we handle differs by role:
- Clients who book appointments (as guests or with an account).
- Barbers who manage their chair, calendar, services, and clients.
- Front desk staff and shop owners/admins who run a barbershop.
- Website visitors and people who join our waitlist.
For barbershops and barbers that use Snipzs to manage their own clients, those businesses are independent controllers of the client data they collect, and Snipzs acts as their service provider/processor. See our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account & identity: name, email address, phone number, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Booking & service data: appointments, services selected, walk-in/queue status, history, no-show records, and notes barbers add about clients.
- Reputation data: a thumbs-up/down reputation score that barbers assign to clients at appointment completion. See “Client reputation scoring” below.
- Media you upload: barber portfolio photos and other images. See our Image & Content Rights policy.
- Communications: SMS and email content we send on your behalf or to you, plus delivery status and message logs.
- Payment & subscription data: subscription plan and billing status. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical & usage data: device and browser information, IP address, session cookies, and diagnostic/error data (including via Sentry).
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and secure the Service and your account.
- Schedule appointments and run walk-in queues and front-desk operations.
- Send transactional messages (confirmations, reminders, account notices).
- Send marketing or promotional messages where permitted and consented to.
- Process subscription payments and manage plans.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and no-shows, and enforce our policies.
- Improve the Service, debug issues, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): performance of a contract, your consent (e.g., marketing messages), our legitimate interests (e.g., security and product improvement), and compliance with law.
4. Client reputation scoring
Barbers may record a thumbs-up (+1) or thumbs-down (−1) when completing an appointment, which contributes to a numeric reputation score associated with a client across barbershops. This score is used to help barbers manage their chairs. It is a form of profiling.
If you are a client, you can request access to the reputation data associated with you, ask us to correct it, or object to this processing by contacting privacy@snipzs.com. We do not use this score to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Some data (such as message logs) is retained only when the relevant barber has enabled logging. Retention periods are documented internally; contact us for details about a specific category.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (e.g., California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
- Marketing opt-out: reply STOP to texts or use the unsubscribe link in emails. See the SMS & Messaging Terms.
- Requests: email privacy@snipzs.com. We will verify your identity before acting.
If a barbershop or barber collected your data, you may need to direct certain requests to them as the controller; we will assist where required.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without appropriate consent. If a minor will be a client, the booking adult is responsible for providing any required consent.
10. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
